Stephen’s Green, overlooked by the shopping centre, is an iconic symbol of summer in Dublin to me. No childhood trip to the big smoke was complete without it. This nostalgia makes me think it is a huge shame to reconstruct the shopping centre and lose such a unique building for what is essentially a concrete block.
