“Having private, for-profit care goes against all you are trying to achieve for children in care,” says Terry Dignan, a spokesperson for charities that run children’s homes.
Councils are reluctant to use the single-stage process because they take on more risk if something goes wrong, says Sinn Féin TD and housing spokesperson Eoin Ó Broin.
“All bodies are beautiful and we should all start 2019 off by loving ourselves and learning how to find growth within ourselves,” writes graphic designer and illustrator Lauren Smyth.

Smyth is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator from Boston, Massachusetts, currently based in Dublin.
“My work often focuses on body positivity within the female form, and I love combining hand-drawn elements, abstract shapes and bright colors to help brands create beautiful, eye-catching designs, whether for illustration projects, branding, or even website design,” she writes.
