One man who’s been involved has been trying to organise a social event on a nearby council football pitch, something the council says it’s “monitoring”.
Before the pandemic, there was a bustling schedule for older people in the community. Starting with new yoga classes, organisers are trying to bring it back.
“As a fixture in the city’s identity, and a living part of its history, I felt that the current situation that carriage drivers are facing was worth documenting.”
For Paddy Harris, a carriage driver, and his horse Christine, ferrying people around the city has become a tougher and tougher gig.
