Council launches public consultation on how to develop George’s Dock
Whatever is decided, Dublin City Council doesn’t plan to cover the costs. Instead, it wants a private operator to come in and deliver a facility or activity.

“I am conscious of the fact that delivery under previous Capital Programmes over recent years has been disappointing,” said the council Chief Executive Owen Keegan, in the report.

Dublin City Council bought the stadium back in 2015 for €3.8 million, and the council plans to redevelop it, but it’s still not certain how much this would cost, or how it will be funded.
Soon, Dublin City Council will almost certainly be the owner and manager of Dalymount Park, the home of Bohemian Football Club. Is this a good idea?
