In the north inner-city, tenants of 15 years evicted so council can buy their home
Dublin City Council is buying 40 homes in the Northbank apartments. It is not clear how many tenants have been evicted for the deal to proceed.
A council spokesperson said that €180,000 has been set aside to raise the standard of footpaths in Harold’s Cross and Glasnevin.
Turfing out two residents – and allegedly locking others inside – marks the latest round of conflict between tenants and those letting 131C Slaney Road.
T his illustration is inspired by the botanic gardens in Glasnevin. It is one of my favourite places to go in Dublin, where one can escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
