More than 100 HAP tenants in Dublin lost their homes after poor conditions flagged
“An innocent tenant, through no fault of their own, ends up back homeless because a landlord doesn’t carry out the works,” says one councillor.
A survey funded by our readers and conducted by Amárach Research asked about issues including how often people call the freephone and can’t get a bed for the night, and the conditions in the hostels when they do get in.
Editor’s Note: This survey was funded by our readers. Many thanks to those who contributed, and those who shared their expertise to determine subjects to ask about. We know this isn’t peer-reviewed social-science research, but hope it is a small step in gathering a wider range of feedback from those with experience of these homeless services.
